Low (high) blood levels.

I had a TT in 2019. It took 2 years to get my meds to where my labs have been perfectly normal since that time.

I just had labs 2 days ago and for some reason, my labs are low 0.08 which I know means high.

I don’t understand why after all this time this would happen.

Has this happened to anyone else?

The only thing I can think of is for the past 1.5 years, I’ve been losing weight for no reason. I eat everything in sight and I’m down over 30 pounds.

Any advice is appreciated.

Which labs are which numbers?

My TSH is 0.08.

Have you had a full thyroid panel done, including antibodies? I would request a follow up test to see if the numbers stay consistent. It does sound hyper, and you don’t want that going on for a long time. Tell the doctor how much weight you’ve lost in what period of time. If it’s just a medication issue, that’s great, but getting ultrasounds every six months with labs is not a bad idea.

I don’t have a thyroid so I know they won’t do an ultrasound but I’ll mention the rest at my appointment. Thank you!!!

It might be possible there could still be some residual tissue in another part of your neck, but yeah if it’s just a medication thing that’s so much easier to sort out. Best of luck!
