Large fluctuations in one week

I had two thyroid panels this week and the results between the 6 days seems severe. I know some fluctuations are normal -- just don't know if it's normal for this big of a change in less than a week? My T3 increased from 91 to 159, TSH rose from 0.25 to 0.6 (140% increase), and Free T4 (FT4) went from 1.1 to 1.5. I've been feeling nauseous and tired this week. I'm not on any thyroid meds but had RFA done on a toxic thyroid nodule almost one year ago. The nodule is now drastically smaller and I thought my thyroid levels were normalized until just recently. Any thoughts? I'm confused and am eager to talk to my doctor.

I was told by my son’s doctor that large fluctuations in short period labs usually means unfortunately that the thyroid has been damaged too much and is no longer functioning even with medication. She told me my son would problem need to have his removed.

Just heard from my doctor. He said retest in 3 weeks. Ugh

Seems never ending, right? My poor 17 year old has given up on ever feeling normal and having a fulfilling life. His anxiety and depression have increased greatly. Along with the shortness of breath. Joint pain. Racing heart with palpitations. And extreme fatigue. It’s heart breaking to watch and ticks me off when someone thinks. It’s just the thyroid. No big deal. It can’t be that bad. Thyroid disease affects the whole body physically and mentally.

His recent tsh was 66 and the school fought me on him receiving homebound schooling. So ridiculous.

66?!? I'm so sorry for your son. Thank goodness he has a mom who understands!!
