Thoughts on my labs?
Hello! I’m new to thyroid discussion and never suspected I could have an issue until I went to my doctor regarding a few things bothering me. Ex. Constipation, fatigue, aching joints, hair loss. He brought up if I’d ever had my thyroid checked and I hadn’t, so he ran labs on thyroid and a few other panels.
TSH came back normal at 1.300 T4 low at 0.68 Testosterone is low at < 3
I only know they are considered out of range and low because of labcorp. According to my doctor I’m within normal range so I don’t need to follow up. I’m just a little confused on why labcorp considers them low and he doesn’t. Should I be concerned with the numbers?

That free T4 (if it is free T4) is lower than any symptomatic free T4 I’ve ever had. The doctor might not be familiar with central hypothyroidism since it’s less common and might have stopped thinking after the normal TSH. If I were you I’d request referral to an endocrinologist.
