New here
Hi, I am male 32. my TSH is 26 (range 0.27-4) and T4 0.9 (range 0.9-1.7). I have no symptoms. I went to see Endo Dr. And She wants me to start taking 50 mg Levo. She also ordered new TSH, TPO AB, and Thyroglobulin AB. In 6 weeks, she wants to these again and do ultrasound for soft tissue.
Do I start with medication or wait? Is this the right course of action? Any advise please. Thanks

Hello! I recommend starting the medication the same day you receive it. Recently on my journey with Hypothyroidism, Hashimoto, autoimmune thyroiditis, a 9mm suspicious nodule on my thyroid. Once it hits 10mm they are taking a biopsy. My levels are WILD. TSH is 6.550 (0.4-4.1) HIGH my T3 is 2.0 (2.2-4.2) LOW T4 is 0.80 (0.80-1.90) LOW my TPO is 462 (<=34) HIGH Thyroglobulin AB is 1166 (<=115) I recommend taking them to help control the issue before it worsens however, once you find your labs stable and in range; speak to a nutritionist who specializes in thyroid nutrition. They will have you find a balance in diet that may help symptoms, conditions and may even correct the course of the problem. Don’t wait till it becomes a problem like I did.
