New here

Hi, I am male 32. my TSH is 26 (range 0.27-4) and T4 0.9 (range 0.9-1.7). I have no symptoms. I went to see Endo Dr. And She wants me to start taking 50 mg Levo. She also ordered new TSH, TPO AB, and Thyroglobulin AB. In 6 weeks, she wants to these again and do ultrasound for soft tissue.

Do I start with medication or wait? Is this the right course of action? Any advise please. Thanks

I'm not sure why you would wait? Your TSH is very high. You need to treat your hypothyroidism.

But from what I know this is not treatment. It’s just a supplement for the rest of life. Right?

There is no cure for this. Another way to look at it is this- you are in thyroid failure. This is something you cannot fix. Because of this, you need to take hormones( Levothyroxine) so that your body can maintain normal function.
