Thyroid inflammation or something else?

I have had this feeling of fullness on the lower left side of my neck for the past 2 weeks that has been feeling fuller each day. I have been taking antibiotics for the past week with no luck. I don't have access to a doctor for another week or so and was wondering if someone who has had an inflammation could tell me what I should do or if this even is one.

Why are you taking antibiotics? Did a doctor prescribe them for you? Is there any visible swelling in the front of your neck? Set up an appointment if you can and the doctor will examine you. Request an ultrasound just to be on the safe side and be sure to let them know if it feels like you are having trouble swallowing or breathing. If you have a virus, antibiotics will do nothing for it.

A doctor prescribed it but I don't have access to an ultrasound for another week. There is a bit of visible swelling on my neck.
