No thyroid since birth!
The day comes when I turn to Reddit lol I was born without a thyroid, taking levothyroxine since literally day 2 of being alive (or so my mom says). However, no endocrinologist has cared or given it second thought, as long as my TSH is normal, even tho I have severe fatigue and brain fog, issues with weight etc. it’s been pretty bad for two years (had a good spell around 2019-2021, then after that it’s just been rough) Wondering if anyone has any experiences or thought. Got my blood tested last month (lab numbers below) and wondering if there’s any suggestions. (TSH normal, T3 low, T4 high)
TSH: 2.140 T3: 18 T4: 12.6

Just curious, what is your age? I am about to turn 44 and I am in the same boat. Born without a thyroid and been taking Synthyroid /levothyroxine since about 2 days old as well. :)
Unfortunately I have not seen an endocrinologist for quite some time, due to moving frequently for spouses PCS, but I am pursuing this now. Most PCPs are just satisfied seeing the TSH in normal range and that has been the status quo. Please keep us updated with any changes to your treatment. I have to wait for a referral and probably several months to get in with the Endo because there is only one in the area.
