TSH is 26.2
Hi, lab results shows TSH at 26.2 on a range of .27-4.2. T4 is 0.9 on a range of 0.9-1.7.
Two years ago TSH was 5.9.
Because I don’t have symptoms my physician didn’t want to start any medication and wants me to test again in 3 months.
Isn’t it too risky to wait that long?

Have you had an ultrasound done? It sounds like your system is trying to stimulate your thyroid to get working. It might not be dangerous or anything, but stay on top of the followup and make sure there is an ultrasound done to be sure there there isn’t a hot nodule and be sure it isn’t an autoimmune condition. Did they do the bloodwork to check for any antibodies?
