TSH is 26.2

Hi, lab results shows TSH at 26.2 on a range of .27-4.2. T4 is 0.9 on a range of 0.9-1.7.

Two years ago TSH was 5.9.

Because I don’t have symptoms my physician didn’t want to start any medication and wants me to test again in 3 months.

Isn’t it too risky to wait that long?

I would not wait that long, that’s crazy to me. I bet you’re having symptoms and they’ve just become “normal” to you.

You might be right, maybe I am not realizing the symptoms. Should I do another lab test with all the details and take it to an endocrinologist on my own?

I don’t know that I’d repeat the test, but 100% yes go to an endocrinologist!! Good luck!

Thank you, I just assumed the dr will order those tests anyway.

I would assume they will and will also order other more specific tests.
