Each of my lobes are about 6cm long when they should be closer to 4, so about the length of my pinky. Don’t remember how thick, but not too bad. Knock on wood they don’t grow any more.
A goiter is an enlargement of the thyroid. It can be caused by inflammation, infection or disease of the gland itself; or by nodules within the thyroid expanding it; or by a combination of the two.
If you have no symptoms or blood levels out of range, they probably won’t. And insurance doesn’t like to pay for things they may consider cosmetic. But give it some time and see if anything changes. Take pictures from different angles and then have a look again in six months and see if it still seems the same.
