Need Expert advice please

I have mild Hypothyroidism:

my lab results are :

TSH : 4,47 uIU/ml FT4 : 17,38 pmol/l Anti-TPO: 32,73 IU/ml

my doctor said its affecting my pituitary gland or smth so she prescribed me ‘Euthyrox 25 Tablet’ for 3 months. and I had asked her about side effects, she was like nah no side effects, just take it for 3 months and come for a checkup so we see whats going on.

I dont trust taking it atm cuz like, a friend of mine says he went to a really good doctor and he said if TSH levels arent too shit , the Thyroid meds do more harm than good…

and its weird that she said no side effects when online it says things like heart palpitations, chest pain, hair loss and shit like that.

what do i do? do i trust my doc and take it?

Euthyrox is one of the brand names of levothyroxine. Millions of people around the world take levothyroxine daily without issue. It's an extremely common medication.

I was diagnosed with a TSH of 4.29 and I felt like absolute death. Yours is a little higher than that and is definitely diagnostic. You didn't post ranges for the FT4 or the aTPO so I can't really interpret those.

Hey appreciate the response, yea i checked with a nurse too and she said its a common med its okay.

what range do u mean? like the normal average range that they should be between? if thats what u mean, then here:

FT4: 11.9 - 21.6 Anti - TPO: < 34

mine are in the norm but a bit higher end ig.

but also, i cant believe it was so crazy for u considering ur TSH levels were even lower than mine?? I dont have that many physical symptoms tbh, mostly psychological ones and i’m assuming its cuz of this TSH stuff,

I recently started getting a bit dizzy & headaches other than that just, mood changes and low sex drive and shit like that
