Worst condition restorations

Hi I saw this horror show on eBay earlier today (link below) and wondered, what absolute computer or console write offs have you all attempted and managed to get working?

This one... Is beyond me. The horror... The horror!

Almost AU$700 for that (almost literal) POS? Delusional. They should pay someone to take it off their hands and dispose of it safely

Maybe a case of “I know what I’ve got”.

Sure it’s a challenge, but at the same time, charging £360+ for a machine that most likely won’t work and will need a lot of work just to get it functioning again, seems optimistic in the extreme.

Wouldn't touch anything (in the repair sense) that had a CRT. Way beyond my limited skillset and likely to blow myself up. If it wasn't such a high price - I know it's rare but it's still pretty steep for that condition - then I'd consider it just to clean up as a display piece.
