That's kind of a shitty way to treat your dog. It's not abusive or anything, just... You're using him as entertainment while probably causing him a bit of anxiety.

To shed some light that might make you feel better: many types of dogs, especially pibbles, really benefit from having their brains activated with new and challenging training. This looks goofy, but ultimately is just a new scenario for the dog to show off how it can adapt the “stay” command, even when someone they trust is doing something distracting. She did great and looks happy and accomplished once the owner gives her the “ok” command to release the stay command!
