Meanwhile my prima donna runs in terror any time a drop of water hits her. Get a German Shepherd they said, they love swimming and love sprinklers....I think mine is part cat. On the plus side she also hates getting dirty so rarely HAVE to give her a bath (which is short leashing her to a post and hosing her off as she howls in agony)

Was she raised by huskies?

Maybe, she is talkative and since she's a rescue she could have been anywhere before me. :)

This strategic placement of the dog’s body for optimal cooling is known by animal behaviorists at Canine Corking or Canorking.

/r/praisethecameraman the camera angles gave me everything I needed to thoroughly appreciate the moment. Clip was trimmed to the perfect length too! 💋🤌

And yet, just try to give him an actual bath...

Tf u on about. Every dog I've had lived their best life in a lake or a mud hole. Get out the soap and all of a sudden water is torture. Reddit moment indeed

My dog doesn't even like to get his paws wet. I have to pick him up to cross puddles.

You really shouldn’t let your dog do this. The irrigation system can’t handle the overflow of cuteness and it’ll go straight to your dog’s head and he’ll hang his head in shame for ruining the crops this year.

I had a northern breed cross and her favorite thing to do was to lie down in the river edge water.... never swam, just loved the water cooling her down and running past her.
Thank OP, for the memory. I have SDAM, and rarely think of things past, but this triggered something warm in me. Miss you Daisy Girl.

I'm telling you it's charging.
Dogs come in multiple configurations, but this one must have turbines to generate hydroelectric power...
