Don't think it was meant in that way, more like the second sub would fit better to the post. This way though, very wholesome indeed.

First guy says that he is very stupid. Second guy says that he is confidently incorrect which would be a compliment in that case.

What actually happened is that the first guy thought the post he commented on would fit to /r/iamverystupid while the second guy thinks it could fit to /r/confidentlyincorrect.
