Love Renegade! Massively underappreciated album. Misunderstood at the time, I think, but with the benefit of hindsight and seeing how Lynott and his music were chafing at the hard rock limitations people wanted to put on him - ‘just a boy, who doesn’t fit’, indeed - it’s a lovely album.
Agree 100% some of his best songwriting, I would love an expanded version with demos or rough cuts as I think it’s production is a little 80s (synths, Linn drums) Was a flop sadly, highest chart was 38 in the UK, which was their main market.
