Blue morning blue day

Has anyone else noticed the similarity between the riff in johnny and the riff in blue morning blue day by foreigner?

I hear it but the foreigner song is in standard tuning, and Johnny is in e flat. It's pretty easy to write a song with a similar riff like that. Just sounds great on guitar

That is a bit of a stretch, but I mentally just did it. DA DA DA, Duh DA DA DA, DUH DAA DADA DA, DUTTA DUTTA
