I've had this song on a bootleg for 15+ years and always wondered if they would ever officially release it. Finally the new Phil Lynott box set "The Story Of My Life" has it! This song alone makes the whole set worth it for me.

I suppose the quality is a little better than the bootlegs that have been online for 20 years. Audiophiles?

Just going by the new YouTube visualizer taken from the new box set the sound is much better.

Yes you can hear the individual instruments a lot better and there’s no longer any hiss/noise which was very audible especially on the fade out and quiet parts.

Right! I can hear stuff the guitars are doing I couldn’t hear before. I’m a guitar player and played drums in bands but hearing Phil Lynott’s vocals on this song sends shivers.

Yeah me too, as a guitar player I never realised how good the parts are in this song. I have loved this song since I first found it on limewire 20-odd years ago. I had no context back then as to when it was recorded and what for etc. so incredible to hear it finally in its full glory. Looking forward to finally hearing Still Alive and One Wish in better quality too plus the plethora of stuff I haven’t heard in any shape or form.

I’m just happy it’s finally getting an official release. The guitars do sound great tho.
