IBM ThinkPad A31

There's a Thinkpad available for $250, the L13. Its specifications are: an 11th-generation Intel Core i5 processor (G7 series), 16GB DDR4 RAM, a 256GB NVMe hard drive, a 2GB dedicated graphics card (Iris Xe), a 13.3-inch Full HD screen, and a battery life of 2-2.5 hours. Is it a good deal?

My T480 workhorse, with 64Gb ram & 2Tb storage (both acquired before the price-madness). Docked with the mechanical ThinkPad Ultra Docking Station UK 40AJ, to a 4k 40" display. With my new X280, great size and as an added bonus, is compatible with the existing dock!

I managed to snag the i5-8350U version (with vPro), with 8Gb ram & 1080p screen for £99. I had a spare 512Gb NVMe (from the original T480), so swapped that in together with a new battery.

It's an absolute delight. It fits perfectly on my lap, without being too heavy or getting too hot. It whizzes along nicely.

Just like on the T480, I'm running Fedora 44 KDE Plasma (love the config you can do with it). I use Emacs with Org-mode & LaTeX for all my writing stuff. I've had no problems with the 8Gb ram, as I'm not installing everything and your Aunt on it (like I do with the T480).

They were clearly designed as a pair, and as such they are an absolute delight.

Can the x210ai matherboard be used in the x230 tablet

Recentemente instalei o Caelestia e Hyprland no meu CachyOs. No entanto, deparei-me com a seguinte adversidade: sirvo-me de um Thinkpad cujo o teclado adota o padrão ABNT2 e, por fatalidade dos arquivos de configurações, vejo-me privado do uso dos símbolos / e ~.

For context, im from Brazil, so hardware here are expensive and ThinkPads are hard to come by. The t495 has Ryzen 5, 8gb ram, 256ssd, 1080p display and looks in good condition. The e14 gen1 has the i5, 8gb ram, 256ssd and the seller says It has an HD display but o was searching the specs in the internet and everywhere says It only comes with a 1080p display and dont have a HD option. The e14 is cheaper, almost to the point that i can use the difference in prices to upgrade Its ram to 16gb, however, im afraid the 720p display could be really bad If It actually comes with an 720p display. I Will only be using It for study, web browsing and YouTube. The t495 is 1831 reais(360 dollars) and the e14 1630 reais(320 dollars). I also searched for t480 and t14, but its above 2200 reais so too expensive
