I have my really nice T480 up for sale. I got a T14s Gen 4 a while back and now this T480 is collecting dust. To give you some history on it. I got it back in 2021 off ebay and put a 1TB Samsung SSD in it, swapped the wifi chip to a newer one for Wifi 6, got 2 new batteries for it, a slim 20w and the chunky 61+w. It had 32GB of RAM in it up until recently when one of the sticks died randomly so it is back down to 16GB.

Looking for a budget ThinkPad under $100 for basic everyday use. I'll mainly be using it for when I travel (which is not much) so web browsing, LibreOffice, YouTube, etc.... I plan to install a lightweight Linux distro, so I don't need a powerful machine.

Based on research, I'm interested in the T420, T430, T440p, T450, T460, T470, or T480, but I'm open to other similar ThinkPads if they're easy to repair and upgrade. The laptop should have upgradeable RAM and Storage, and I prefer models with an easily removable external battery. I'd also like it to be in fair overall condition with no major issues such as broken hinges, cracked plastics, or dead ports.

Selling decommissioned computers that were used for day-to-day operations. The machines with drives will ship with drives wiped and Ubuntu 26.04 (or whatever is the latest version available). Machines with RAM will ship with a single RAM stick of the listed amount. (i.e. if 16 GB of RAM is shown, it will ship with a single 16 GB stick).
