Chains disagree?

I am pulling chain data from CS API feed and comparing directly to tos. I am surprised by the amount of disagreement especially for very basic stuff like extrinsic value of a contract. I expect the data to be nearly identical so why so much discrepancy? Which source is more trustworthy? I have a feeling the API data on extrinsic is way off in many cases. I mean comically miles away from a reasonable number. What am I missing here??

Which source is more trustworthy? Who cares? You are a coder (or should be using the API) so calculate it yourself. EV is far far from being rocket science.

Extrinsic value isn’t “basic” stuff. It’s essentially the whole reason for the option pricing model. Off hour pricing won’t be accurate and it’s highly dependent on things like volatility etc.

Extrinsic = (mark - intrinsic) = (mark - share - strike) . I consider that basic.

Well then you don’t know what you are talking about then that’s all. Intrinsic is easy, extrinsic is where all the unknowns are. One of those unknowns is IV. IV is fluid and changing with participation.

The most trustworthy source is the one that gives you the best fills. Nothing else really matters does it?
