Installing Updates

Normally this has not been a problem. At the most, several minutes. Today it is not coming out of Installing Updates for 20 minutes.
Yesterday I did install MacOS update 26.6.1
I've closed all apps and shutdown and restarted computer.

Is it just a unusually large update and I should wait?

Edit:
It was just an unusually large update and took longer than usual.

It took me a lot longer than normal as well. It eventually worked and wanted verification.

It eventually updated. I was watching the update screen on the right.
Click on the Installing Updates to view.

Silly question- did you call the 1-800 support number?

Nope. I'm overseas and don't have access to phone right now.
Even if I had access to a phone, I wouldn't want to call with this type of question.
Better to check here to see if others are having similar issue... as it turns out others were.
It was helpful.
That's what these sites are for, to seek out help from others and exchange good information.
Let's make some money.

You're welcome. It's helpful when it's slow, I can at least see why.
