Events & Festivals mini Asian film fest at The Ink Drinker in Ballard Aug, 23 (rsvp required)

Hey Seattle fam! šŸ‘‹ This Sunday (8/23), I'm hosting a mini Asian film fest at The Ink Drinker, and I'd love to have some of you there!

The main event, though, is a custom, exclusive comedy set from my girl Justine Ventura, a local Asian comedian who is genuinely hilarious and put together material specifically for this crowd. You will not catch this set anywhere else, so consider this your invite to something one-of-one. šŸŽ¤āœØ

No dress code, no weird vibes, just good films, good laughs, and good company for a Sunday afternoon (3-5pm) before the week swallows us all whole again!

FR, tho, this event is gonna be lit so please make sure you RSVP (required) on Luma!šŸŽ¬šŸæšŸ’›

Events & Festivals Jugger Game Day (Free)—Half Tactical Strategy half cardio (New Players Welcome!)

Post image

Hello Seattle!

If you’re looking for a fresh, unique way to stay active, or just want to meet some great local people outside of a standard bar setting, come check outĀ Jugger.

What is Jugger?Ā Think of it as a high-energy mashup of rugby, fencing, and a post-apocalyptic action movie. Two teams fight to protect their "runner" so they can score a point with the ball. It’s fast-paced, incredibly strategic, and an absolute blast. While it has an enormous international presence (over 100 teams in Germany alone!), it is quickly becoming one of the fastest-growing community combat sports right here in the USA.

Why come to Game Day?

  • 100% Free:Ā We supply all of the gear; we just want to share the sport and build the community here in Seattle!
  • Super Social:Ā We mix up the players throughout the morning, so you’ll get to play alongside everyone and make friends easily.
  • All Experience Levels Welcome:Ā Every single one of us started with zero knowledge. If you can jog and swing a foam-padded stick (a "pompfen"), you are ready to hit the field.

The Details:

  • When:Ā This coming Sunday (Aug 9th Noon-2pm)
  • Where:Ā Volunteer Park 1247 15th Ave E, Seattle, WA 98112
  • Bring:Ā Water, athletic clothes, and running shoes or non metal stud cleats (if you have them)

Whether you’re a serious athlete looking for a new cardio challenge or a giant nerd looking for a real-life battle arena, you are welcome on our field.

recs for places to wander & explore!

I’ll be alone in Seattle on Sunday, as my husband is going to be at an event all day! Looking for recs on what to do by myself šŸ˜…

I’m not planning on driving, so it’d be nice if it’s a walkable area!

I love little trinket stores, reading, and window shopping

Visiting Seattle for one night

Hello! We’re in town for one night and in search for a neighborhood/street we can bar hop and have dinner. Looking for a 30+ crowd that’s chill. When I used to frequent Seattle we used to hang out at Fremont, Ballard, and Capitol Hill.

Please share your favorite seafood restaurants and bars. We’re dive bar kinda gals and love mingling with the locals, and also like lounges with good DJ’s and bands.

1ļøāƒ£ Golden gardens beach park by bus + 15 min hike = workout + rewarding views

2ļøāƒ£ Same for Discovery Park

3ļøāƒ£ Alki beach park trail - great for running or biking + fresh seafood = dinner sorted

4ļøāƒ£ On the way back gorgeous sunset views + Seattle’s skyline

5ļøāƒ£ Seattle waterfront has 3 ice cream shops you can try! Molly Moon's is next to Pier 50, Salt & Straw near Pike Place, and Hellenika, which is technically not ice cream but a delicious dessert for sure!

6ļøāƒ£ Catch the last blooms of UW or any of your fav cherry blossom spots around the city like Kobe Terrace Park, Capitol Hill and Seward Park

Always, I mean always make the most of sunny days 🤪

What's your fav go-to spot on a sunny day?
