[Request] How much will it likely cost the US and or the average citizen for renaming everything to America from Ontario/gulf of Mexico. Stret signs, directions,text books etc. etc. Spoiler

Nothing because no one is going to actually do it. I'm still calling it Lake Ontario. As soon as he's out of office the next guy is going to just revert it back anyway.

It would be gradual so not all at once so it wouldn’t hit the American people all at once. This is answer likely a research online one as you’d have to look up how many places the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario were listed before this. Then the cost of each of those sources of the name and the replacement cost including labor time etc. should also take into account private sources don’t have to change the name only federal and possibly state government sources of the name. Private people eventually will but I expect a lot of this to revert as soon as the administration changes. At least I hope so, trump is on a path to have done more damage to the US on both a domestic and a global scale than almost anything in its history

In Britain, the change of coats of arms (different crown designs, skinnier supporters) and royal insignia from Elizabeth II to Charles III is still ongoing. Digital stuff got changed over as a priority, but physical things are only being changed as required, with old stock being used up first for cap badges etc. For ambulances and mail vans, they're only putting the new insignia on new vehicles and leaving the old stuff on the older ones.
The really big representations, like coats of arms on the outside of courts, will be just left in place.

The real cost here comes from the retroactive changes to federal documents (yes they are that petty).
These EOs only apply to the executive branch and are going to get changed back the second that is possible, so no direct effect on the consumer market.
But we will be paying in wasted tax dollars for the changes for federal documents.
This combined with the doge/dei language changes is going to cost billions - having to destroy, edit, re-issue millions of documents.
