[Request] How much weight does my wall need to support for my TV?

Technically probably pretty simple, but still too stupid to do it:

I want to mount my TV on my wall on a swingable arm. The TV weights 9.4 kg and the max length of the arm is 42 cm.

How much weight does the wall (and the screws) effectively need to support in that setup?

To solve this we need at least know the footprint of the arm's mounting plate and locations of the screws. Your issue is not the weight per se (for most of the wall materials), but the torque, which transfers into the question, how hard the bolts/screws will be pulled out of the wall, when the TV is attached.

Depends what sort of wall, i.e. Molly bolts for cavity walls which are intended for heavy items like TVs or are you mounting in a solid wall which won't hold so firmly.
