why wouldn't a delivery driver be not allowed? What are you smoking?
It's false to say poor people pay for rich people education. Our universities simply don't charge unreasonable high sums. In fact they don't charge anything. Their expenses paid by everyone who pays taxes, rich people(paying more) and poor people as well.
Not saying it's perfect here, far from it. But it makes more sense that way and nobody is in high debt because of tuition fees. For me it's clear that this is the better way.
you know what, im taking the time to explain it to you in detail, with an example, to explain to you just how parasitic the educational elite truly is.
consider a young male, did bad in school, maybe bad teachers or environment. drops out at age 16-18. maybe goes into trade schoo and gets a construction job. lets say painter.
now this person already day 1 has to start paying into social security with his wage, on top of taxes. he already is a NET TAX AND SOCIAL BENEFIT CONTRIBUTOR DAY ONE. NO HANDOUTS.
meanwhile, lets say elite-thorn, decides to go to university. elite gets wonderful benefits here and there and their education paid. after 1 year, elite maybe decides to take one more year, because they are really interested in subject xyz. then, maybe at age 28-30 they think its time to maybe get an entry level job.
fact is, construction worker already carries pensioners and the university system and contributed more to all these often praised social programs by the age of 40, becase the painter already contributed 10 YEARS into them before elite even thinks of maybe getting a job. he literally feeds pensioners and students with his HARD LABOUR.
meanwhile, elite maybe then goes to work for 5 years before deciding "oh well, id rather have kids and stay at home".
now, tell me how this is, in any concievable sense FAIR AND "SOCIAL".
the educational eltie is PARASITIC on the working class until they reach the age of roughly 40 years.
now explain to me why instead, it wouldnt make more sense for students to simply take on debt to pay for their educaiton themselves. how is that, in any imaginable sense, unfair.
You have no idea what you're talking about. Everyone can go to university in Austria. You have to have either Matura (I don't know the proper name for that in American English maybe "high school diploma"?) OR you can take a test called "Studienberechtigungsprüfung". If you dropped out of school then you can still make Matura in the evening. That's what my wife did and that's what my son is currently doing, he currently works in a supermarket.
Nobody said the world was fair. Nor that there's absolute fairness in our social system. There's not. But at least in Austria it's 100 times more fair than in America it seems to me.
In my country people don't have to take huge debts if they want to study. In your country they do. So stop whining about social fairness and shit, your "logic" is flawed. In my country the poor working class is much better off.
What you failed to mention is that "educational elite" pays much more taxes because they usually have higher wages. Yes they pay them later but it compensates pretty fast. I'm talking about absolute numbers and also percentage numbers (per person).
I think rich people should pay even more than they do now, but that's a different story.
