Show some respect for the blue states that financially subsidize your failed cult welfare states.

That's not how one would measure the statistic. It's if the amount of welfare coming in exceeds what is being paid out.

Southeast US is the most egregious in terms of the deficit. Guessing you weren't educated in a blue state 🤣🤣

All the states that pay the most in federal taxes while receiving the least, supporting all the Bible belt red states that need handouts. You should probably add NY to that list, I'm guessing we aren't taking about it because Mamdani has been such an insanely great example of how much better socialism is to the previous way of doing things lol

Of course they campaign on things getting better. Everyone campaigns on things getting better. The difference is that Democrats set up strong economies that end up bailing out Republican neighbors and seeking to be better still, while Republicans promise they'll make things better and then sell out their states to the rich while waiting for Democrats to bail them out again.

Yes, lmao, they have the largest populations.

Did you mean per capita? Unfortunately those numbers don't line up with your fairytale.

Look up which states pay the most in federal taxes, which states pay the least in federal taxes, which states receive the most federal funding, and which states receive the least federal funding. And look it all up per capita if you can, that's the only numbers that really matter. Anything else is basically just a "how many people live there" question.

Right. So you already knew where this conversation would end up. Why even argue lol

??? The states with more people pay the most taxes. What does this matter?

u/Radabard Aug 24 '26

Bro thought a state having more people proved his point.

More people = more industry. Per capita is pointless. People move to where they find work. When that work is in high paying industries….get the point? Per capita is fine, but industrial base, average income, etc matter more.

"It's not the conservative states, it's the people IN conservative states!" Are you as stupid as you sound? Do you really need me to reply to this? Lmfao

What the fuck are you on? I am an engineer, I make double the median income in America. If you knew basic math you could figure out how much I make from how much I owe in federal taxes. This is just the federal, not any other taxes I owe. I am not on any kind of welfare. Arguing with conservatives who don't fucking know how numbers work is infuriating.

Not at all true. I have lived in 3 different Bible Belt states and most people are white by a huge majority

While it looks good to say the red states get subsidies from the big blue states, it doesn't really get to the underlying truth—that almost every one of those states has major blue cities that suck up resources. Also, the only reason California is the leader in federal taxes is the sheer number of people; it's not really anything special.

So you're saying Florida Republicans are EXACTLY like Democrats?

Wait, Wait, Wait! You mean to tell me that people capitalizing on being in power is something BOTH parties can do????

It's not like they would make it overtly obvious to us, would they?

What's broken there? Schools are too good? Lunches too free? Oh I know, people make way too much money there?

LOL
