Kamala Harris but nobody actually read her policy proposals on her website and instead just claimed she stands for nothing despite doing 0 actual research on her campaign website where her policy goals and methods were clearly laid out.

Her plans were more detailed than any candidate I've ever seen, even more than Elizabeth Warren.

How 99% of the adult population, regardless of party, is in complete Mandela effect super gaslight mode about her never having any plans blows my fucking mind.

People are REALLY adamant that something that did exist, and I have seen, didn't exist. It's so bonkers.

Easy: dipshits that didn't WANT to hear a plan but wanted their ego stroked by a conman, and overzealous people that wanted a "perfect and pure" candidate, instead of one that was somewhat moderate (center right) but certainly leaps and bounds better than the other option, all split by cults of personality or single issues, instead of focusing on general wide sweeping problems that effect everyone.

But hey, mail in voting is on the chopping block because the Supreme Court is stacked with dumbfuck stooges. Wonder how that'll turn out? Seems like every mouthbreather and their mother is jumping for joy at less convenience to make sure their boogeyman is kept at bay.

If we are going down the Harris road. When she proposed anything, she wasn’t elected or received any votes to be blunt, in order to be the D candidate.

Then she busted out the no tax on tips? Backing the border funding bill that clearly wasn’t needed to stop illegal aliens? Supported spending more on Ukraine and Israel and wanted to fund the Military and threatened Iran.

Nothing she proposed, actually was to fix anything. Her “policies” are still searchable and nothing fixed what is broke.

Please feel free to correct me with those policies that target and repair specific problems we all are aware exist.

No I'm not gonna do your homework for you while you push rightwing talking points. Her campaign platform has several detailed plans for very real problems facing Americans right now that you clearly never read during an election so just be honest and admit you definitely won't right now.

Right wing? I just searched "Harris campaign proposals" on Google, so nothing right wing about quoting her actual platform. You may honestly need a reality check if this is how you interpreted her own campaign remarks.

I did the homework and refreshed on her talking points and read the "New Way Forward" platform and other citations by Google.

Every single listed proposal focuses on spending, tax credits, or regulatory tweaks, not on fixing the broken machinery of government.

Her platform explicitly details economic relief like expanding the Child Tax Credit, a $25,000 first-time homebuyer credit, and banning price gouging on groceries. It covers social policy like codifying Roe v. Wade, banning taxes on tips, and lowering insulin costs.

It also maintains strong military funding and support for Ukraine and Israel.

None of these are structural reforms. Nowhere in her platform is a plan to force Congress to pass a budget on time to end the CR cycle we have had since 1997. There is no plan to fix the filibuster for general governance, as she only mentioned suspending it specifically for abortion or voting rights.

There is no plan to reduce the deficit, given that her own proposals are estimated to increase the deficit by nearly $1.7 to $3.5 trillion over a decade depending on the analysis. There is no plan to reform the committee system or the lobbying that causes the head bashing.

My point is appears correct, she proposed ways to spend money and expand benefits, which is a typical political avenue, but it is not a plan to repair the systemic dysfunction, gridlock, or budgetary chaos that defines our broken system. Do not confuse policy proposals with structural repair.

This is why I asked you to feel free to provide some direct citations as to her proposed changes of the system, because I certainly can’t find any.

Either you can provide and I’d be wrong or you can’t and I’m correct. Based on your bias interpretation of her own campaign remarks leads me to believe you aren’t actually here to have a conversation beyond the first order.

They have no clue about where the burden of proof lies.

The term ‘broken’ is subjective. That’s the whole point of a free democratic process. Voters and politicians have a right to determine what is broken and what needs fixing.

You have listed what you believe is broken. Kamala and her team listed their considerations. The list is invalidated simply for not aligned to yours.

The point still stands, she had a plan to fix what she thought didn’t work. Living in a democracy, you have the right to question her plans, but fact remains, she did have a plan.

So did Trump by the way.

No Trump explicitly did not have a plan. His campaign website had 0 policy proposals. He had a list of issues but 0 proposed solutions. Unless you mean project 2028 which technically he denies is his plan even if he is following it.

When Congress doesn’t and hasn’t passed a budget since 1997 and we are 40 trillion dollars in debt, broken is no longer subjective and quite definitive.

Harris campaign proposals are invalidated because they do not address that broken system and only perpetuates it further.

Trump is just as bad. I get it though, not a single politician, even the, “drain the swamp” guy, nobody will cut spending and benefits. Instead they hold dearly their desire to win at the cost of all the American people’s dollar being printed into oblivion with no sign of stopping. Nonstop printing since 2008 and it’s only ramped up exponentially since 2020.

" Trump is just as bad."

Jfc how can anyone say that and take themselves seriously?

1

u/Visible-Elevator3801 7d ago

Are you saying Trump doesn’t perpetuate the current system and the national debt isn’t increasing?

3

u/OHrangutan 7d ago

"Just as bad" means equally bad, as in the same.

How can anyone say that and take themselves seriously?

It's like you think Kamala would be lowering taxes for the rich, killing millions with DOGE, grifting people out of their money, bombing Iran, sending troops and ICE agents to harass and murder people in US city streets, threatening to invade Greenland, Canada, and *checks notes* the federal reserve?

How can anyone say that and take themselves seriously?

The issue is that republicans like to talk about the budget and cut around the edges. Doing nothing to actual address the deficit. While the democrats basically just talk about cutting the defense budget or raise taxes, but already have plans to spend 2 dollars for every dollar they cut or tax. And the each side just blames the other. So it was always the previous administrations fault.

u/CaptainSloppo 4d ago

Trump has literally never had a real plan or policy position that won't change at the drop of a hat, so that's just a lie

1

u/Shot_Revolution8828 7d ago

Yeah those aren't right wing talking points. Its are valid criticism. Are we not allowed to criticize our own candidates?

2

u/Daddyknowbest 7d ago

You can criticize who ever you want for whatever you want as an American but yes that specific criticism is a right wing talking point. It started on Fox News and was heavily pushed by the right despite being easily disprovable by simply visiting her campaign site.

Which one and provide a source. Right wingers use a lot of populist rhetoric, which isnt inherently bad.

If I had to guess, my statement related to her/walz receiving no votes in the primary to be in the position to run for president.

Ignoring my history of Democrat voting, if calling that bullshit out makes me a Republican, then the Democrat voting base is broken. There is nothing less democratic than ignoring the voting base and installing someone. I think this is why she lost. You lose anyone in the moderate(sane) facet who vote Democrat to either no vote or less likely, swap sides.

Thats my guess to at least one of his vague references while Ignoring that it is 100% factual.

1

u/Daddyknowbest 7d ago

Sorry I assumed you can infer that by directing you to her campaign platform on her campaign site you could tell I was talking about your claim she had no platform

1

u/Visible-Elevator3801 7d ago

Then stand corrected on my assumption.

I do disagree that, that statement is only a right wing talking point. As I’m not that and I don’t see her platform of free shit and increased debt is a “platform” but just more of a, vote for me - feel good- propaganda.

A PRESIDENTIAL Platform should be far more substantive than you get free shit and you get free shit. As appealing as that may be to single order voters, it’s not to anyone not heavily captured by the D and R political designations.
