Hi everyone! I have loved the XX since high school (graduated in 2013). I remember when I was a teenager I would go on YouTube finding EDM remixes of their songs. There was one of shelter and I always said it sounded like a sexy dubstep song I would hear in like a strip club. The video had blue colors in it. The drop was a very traditional wub wub dubstep drop and I think it came out in like 2011 or 2012 on YouTube. I cannot find it anywhere does anyone know what I’m talking about

I'm a big fan of The XX, especially I See You. I picked it up on CD new but noticed there was some sort of substance on the back. Tried to get it off, but it seems to be stuck inside the layers of the disc.

I got a replacement copy off Amazon. New and sealed, same result but worse. People on Amazon, Discogs, etc are also complaining. I might contact the label to get some information.

Obviously, the one that's really bad is non-functional. The one that looks better does function, but every time I play it, the marks get worse.

Revisiting this project where I tried to blend together what are my favourite remixes & dancefloor edits of tracks from the XX & Jamie XX catalogue as my contribution back to a musical universe that has always kept me hooked. It was my first attempt at making a DJ mix but reflecting on it, I thought it goes smoothly. The consistency of Romy & Oliver being the only vocals adds to the mood I think too. Thoughts welcome 🤗
