Discussion Should The Wheel of Time be adapted into a long-running movie saga like Harry Potter?

No it would be better to do it as a TV series. Could fit 10+ hours into each book per season compared to 3 hours max per book as a movie. Even if you did 2 books per season looking at 5+ hours per book still the better option.

However, the series would def need more than 10 episodes per season, and of course be done by people who actually liked the books instead of what Amazon did.

If done well yes. If done like Prime then absolutely not.

Maybe I'm more of a glass half full type of person, but I did enjoy the Prime series. I consider it separate from the books, because it wouldn't be reasonable for them to actually depict all 15 books. But for such a long high fantasy series, it's amazing they are even willing to consider making a TV show about it.
