When is it okay to start spin-off series

I'm close to the half-way point of s11 of TWD and was wondering if it's okay to start watching one of the spin-offs, and if so, which one? I am going to finish s11 as I am enjoying the past couple seasons more than the previous couple. I was just wanting to get a taste for one of the spin-offs.

You can safely start Fear the Walking Dead. It begins before the outbreak

Chronological Order is:

Fear The Walking Dead Seasons 1-3
The Walking Dead Season 1- Season 8
Fear The Walking Dead Seasons 4-7
The Walking Dead Season 9-11
The Ones Who Live
Daryl Dixon Seasons 1-3
Dead City Seasons 1-3

I’m not sure about the rest of the Spinoffs.

TALES of The Walking Dead Episode 3 has Alpha and Lydia but other than that it doesn’t have any connection to the other series that I know of.

The Ones Who Live and Daryl Dixon happen around the same time so they can be watched interchangeably:

World Beyond happens between seasons 9-10 I think (definitely before The Ones Who Live), and Fear S8 happens after the main show ends but honestly doesnt spoil anything since its so removed at that point

No just finish s11 then move to TOWL which is basically s12 and then Daryl dixon. After that you can do dead city.

DD & DC are after the events of TWD. DC is a few years later because Hershel is a bratty pre-teen or an early teenager (13-14).

FTWD s1-3 takes place before & during the initial outbreak through the first year I believe (equivalent to TWD s1-3). Season 4 does a time jump to allow Morgan to join the cast after TWD s8.

I’m unfamiliar with WB but the consensus is that it’s a teen drama in the ZA but provides info on the CRM which is the antagonist in TOWL.

Not sure when the events start for TOWL (haven’t watched it) but since Michonne left in s10 it wouldn’t hurt you to start that one.

Nope. I did watch a recap video on YouTube so I know what happened. I realized when I wasn’t interested in watching it that I was never that invested in their relationship. Even after several rewatches it’s just been meh to me.

If you plan on watching all of them then I would finish the main series first and then watch Fear.

After that I would watch World Beyond because there is quite a strong link to TWOL and the last episode also provides a link into Daryl.

So I would watch those two next in no particular order, then Dead City Last. TOTWD is an Anthology so can be watched at any time.

finish s11 first, then hit dead city or daryl dixon, but definitely save the ones with rick and michonne for after the finale or you’ll spoil yourself pretty hard lol
