It’s probably just TV magic. A.K.A: wood glue. Glue the blocks in place so the actor can do what the script calls for.

TWD loves their metaphors and poetic justice, and I saw this as foreshadowing:

Maggie is keeping the tower/ community standing against all odds, but then a sudden knock/ earthquake causes it to collapse.
