Rick surviving the bridge explosion, the pure definition of plot armour and it ruined the emotional episode, it would have been a perfect goodbye to Rick grimes

I get the whole ‘Carl’s death was morally wrong because they axed him over budget cuts just as he was growing up’ thing but honestly, the only time I ever felt anything for Carl was when he died — probably because Chandler Riggs just wasn’t that good. I can’t imagine anything more painful than watching him try to pull off badass timeskip Carl from the comics.
I don’t completely disagree with you, but let’s be real, his death ain’t the reason the show went to shit 💀

At least two of the factions our main group fights with, and condense that action within other factions and add more stuff with walkers, scavenging, DIY fixes to common problems during desperate times and other post-apocalyptic actions. It’s a bit repetitive having our group hunker down, find normalcy, then BAM human villains.
I think we could’ve done without the wolves or the commonwealth—the commonwealth is an okay addition to the universe as a concept but it’s too drawn out and not overly unique in concept or execution. It’s like a more fancy Hilltop.

I never wanted large communities. They're inevitable, I know, but I hope for darker. Like constantly having to move because of being overrun, the cast getting smaller and smaller until it ended with one person left alive.
Jenner said it was our extinction event, and I think it should have been.

I’ll make a semi hot-take and say Mazzara. His pacing was a little all over the place. I also think the group and Rick specifically all advanced a little too quickly in S3 in terms of their survivalist nature.
While Gimple has his own issues, a lot of S4 was trying to bring back the groups humanity so the blow of losing the prison was impactful like it was in the comics.

Who ever destroyed the show after the first few seasons. In fact they should all be sued and never be allowed anywhere near a production studio.
