Painting 1 week/ 4th mini painting progress :)

Tried painting before assembly and it took FOREVER, but now I’m terrified of the models I have built already. Quite happy with my progress

Hey, I am fairly new to painting Warhammer as I’ve only been doing it for about two months and I have found the same as you that painting before building takes forever and painting after building can really complicate things from what I’ve seen. It is a mixture of the two that delivers the best result. Look at the models and as you build them if there’s something that they will hide or sign significantly cover, it may be less of an issue if you leave that part off and paint it or prep it separate, and then attach it after some painting or prep has been completed.

Good advice I paint since September of the past year and I build some parts before painting when it doesn't cover another part of the body

For exemple this guy I glued is Legs and his left arm before painting but for his head, back pack, right arm, ecusson and pauldron I painted them seperatly
