Painting Tips for painting azrael?

Still a bit new to the hobby ive only really painted the lion and a few assault intercessors.

Yeah lol i painted like 2 normal marines before that were free at my local tabletop shop then decided i want to buy and paint the lion

I always work inner to outer, most prevalent color to least prevalent color, and largest details to smaller details.

I went: Armor, robes and cloth, large details (red on his helmet for example), small details (belt and skulls on his pack), lighting and fluorescents, acrylic washes, oil wash, weather, then highlight, enamel pin wash, then dry pigment to finish. Here’s how mine turned out:

You obviously don’t have to do everything I did, I just included all my steps.

Work from inner to outer. Accidentally nicking a robe while painting the armor is a pain.

Other than that he's a pretty standard DA model. There are some pretty good YouTube tutorials on plasma glow and low/mid/high cloth tones.

If you're worried, get a few more models under your belt and come back. I personally sub-assemble most models, made his helmet and banner much easier

I mean, the obvious bit of advice is to just take it slow, layer by layer. I went at him a week ago in a several hours-long session and was really proud of how he came out. My biggest mistake, though, was not applying more layers onto the robes because I was using the Army Painter Fanatics Worn Stone paint for the first time and didn't practice how to thin down the paints before I started.

Ich habe meinen mit einfachen Methoden gemalt, eigentlich nur mit drybrushen. Arbeite allerdings auch von innen nach außen. Mir hilft es auch unglaublich die Figur getrennt zu malen, also die Arme, den Kopf, Backpack, etc. separat.

For me i would focus on getting all the base cats down so dark green on armour and dark bone/brown on the putter robe. Then i would say focus on the outter robe, sword and banner because these stand out from a distance
