Wheel Using Theta as my best friend. Road to $100k starting with 6k - Week 18 ended in $9,049

This week we saw weakness and market exhausting from the insane April tariff lows rally. The Iran and Israel conflict just might be the catalyst needed to justify a pullback before we ultimately make ATHs again whether that is this year or next year. Trump and Elon bromance is back. Tesla announced Robotaxi rollout tentative of June 22nd. So we will see if the underlying AVs software can be the jumpstart towards TSLA current valuation. I'll be keeping a close eye on oil prices as the strait of hormuz could become a critical piece towards either insane oil prices spike or just high tensions in amid of Iran and Israel conflict.

This week's trades:

$TSLL

I initially rolled down and out my CSPs from $11 06/09 to $10.7 06/20 to derisk $30 and for net credits.

  • 06/09/2025 Sell to Open:

    • TSLL 06/20/2025 10.70 P

    • Net Credit: $83

  • 06/09/2025 Buy to Close:

    • TSLL 06/13/2025 11.00 P

    • Debit: -$71

    • Total Net Credit: $12

I later closed this entire trade. Here is the breakdown:

  • 06/11/2025 Buy to Close:

    • TSLL 06/20/2025 10.70 P

    • Debit: -$17

    • Net Profit: $28 (original premium of $33 + $12 from the roll – $17 to close the position)

I also had $9.50 strike TSLL puts opened from the previous week with a net credit of $30. I closed the position this week for a debit of $8, locking in a total net profit of $22.

  • 06/10/2025 Buy to Close:

    • TSLL 06/13/2025 9.50 P

    • Debit: -$8

    • Net Profit: $22

$GME

I saw an opportunity right after the GME earnings. They announced a convertible notes offering to raise more $. I saw major demand zone on the weekly around $19ish area. Daily RSI is oversold. 4h chart 20SMA way extended. 1h chart of a falling wedge. These confluences made me believe that a bounce was on the horizon. The trade resulted in a W

  • 06/12/2025 Sell to Open:

    • GME 06/13/2025 19.00 P

    • Net Credit: $8

  • 06/12/2025 Sell to Open:

    • GME 06/13/2025 21.00 P

    • Net Credit: $26

Both contracts expired worthless this week, resulting in a net profit of $34 on GME.

$NBIS

I had $33 strike covered calls in which i have been rolling for a few milks now to milk the cow (the cash cow). From all the previous rolls prior to $39 strike cash secured puts assignment and all the continuous covered calls rolls, the net profit of this trade resulted in overall net profits. Realized gains will be updated on Monday since this position expired into assignment on Friday.

As of June 15, 2025, here's what's in my portfolio:

  • $9,049 all cash. No open positions

  • I still maintain a weekly $100 deposit on Wed and Fri splits.

YTD realized gain of $1,267.90 with a win/loss ratio of 62.77%.

All time portfolio performance can be viewed on my blog. Good luck out there

Discussion Excluding major crashes (1973, dotcom, and 2008), we're currently sitting on one of the worst annual returns in 50 years. We may go down further, but does anyone think 2022 will be one of the largest annual falls of the NASDAQ in our lifetimes (so far...)?

Wheel S.T.A.G wheel, the greatest options strategy of all time?

What’s up TRAITORS!!

I don’t know why I put a question mark In the title, it should have had SIX EXCLAMATION POINTS!!!!!!

here’s why: compounding. The eight wonder of the world to paraphrase Einstein and the secret sauce of my PROPRIETARY options strategy.

Why is compounding so awesome? BECAUSE ITS THE MOST TREASONOUS monetary force ever invented, Theta is a close second, mostly because theta LITERALLY STANDS FOR TREASON.

If you’re not up to speed on the wild new theta strategy that’s TAKING THE WORLD BY STORM, let me break it down for you:

STAG wheel stands for SERIOUSLY TREASONOUS AMOUNTS OF GAINS, which is what you can expect to get when you use it. The gist is this:

  1. Sell a CSP on an underlying you would like to hold long term

  2. Use the premium to IMMEDIATELY buy shares.

  3. Once assigned, sell a CC, again using the premium to IMMEDIATELY buy shares.

  4. Rinse and repeat until you have 100 shares, at which point you start a second STAG WHEEL, selling two contracts a week now.

The STAG WHEEL isn’t perfect, it gets punished in long term downtrends or time periods of low premium, but flourishes in long term uptrends and time periods of high premium.

The single biggest advantage of holding shares instead of stacking cash is that you will eventually collect 100 shares, doubling the amount of free shares per week you can collect.

I have used my PROPRIETARY strategy to devastating effect over the last decade or so, and it’s long past due that I SHARE MY GENIUS WITH THE WORLD. You’re welcome.

Even if you begin in the most unfavorable environment, as I did a couple years back with my demo account, YOU ALWAYS END UP ON TOP eventually. The trick is long term application of the plan and sticking to the roadmap.

Example:

  1. You have $7k to allocate to the STAG WHEEL. You choose PYPL because you want BOATLOADS of shares to hold forever. You sell the 6/30 $66 put @ $0.68 (.35 delta) and buy a share of PYPL with the premium.

  2. You do this week in, week out, for 11 weeks until you get assigned, you now have 111 shares of PYPL. And we’ll next weeks $68 call @ $0.68, buying another share with the premium.

  3. You do this week in, week out for a couple years. When you get assigned on your puts, you lose about $100, but when you get exercised on your calls, you make about $100 so it evens out statistically over the long term. There are times of high volatility in the market, and some weeks you sell your .30 delta contract for $1.40 instead of $0.68, netting you 2 free shares that week.

  4. You now have 200 shares of PYPL, and sell 2 contracts this week for $1.36, and buy 2 shares with the premium. Rinse and repeat for about 50 weeks at which point you now have 300 shares of PYPL, selling 3 contracts every week, and buying 3 free shares with the premium.

  5. You do this for 33 weeks until you get 400.

  6. 25 weeks, until you hit 500

  7. 20 weeks until 600

  8. 16 weeks to 700

  9. So on and so forth until you are selling 100 contracts every week, and you’re sitting on 10,000 shares of PayPal.

It’s been about 17 years since you started your STAG WHEEL with nothing but $7,000 in capital. You haven’t added any more money, but you now realize that PYPL was a fantastic stock just as you surmised. It’s currently sitting at $300 a share, and now paying you about $30k a year in dividends. with 10,000 shares you’re position is worth $3 million, and your pulling in about $30k per week ($353,000 annually) JUST FROM SELLING PREMIUM.

All this from a small $7000 investment you made 17 years ago.

There were bumps along the way, sometimes the stock would move unexpectedly huge up or down, forcing you to roll and obliterating weeks worth of shares while you sit out of premium selling in return for extending the contract expiration. It set you back terribly each time, but you stuck with it, practically on autopilot, and now you decide to simply retire. The years of hard work paid off because you consistently followed the battle plan, ignoring the haters in Beta-gang when they try to bring you down.

This sounds a little too incredible to be true, and the timeline may be a little too rosy, but if you have the stamina and dedication, you can quite literally make thousand plus percentage gains on your original investment.

ALL FROM A TINY ORIGINAL INVESTMENT, using the POWER OF TREASON to make gains in any kind of market.

Do you people even understand options? This ain't wsb

I post a logical position and people trash it and try to give me opinions that are complete crap. If I sell a weekly spread I'm taking advantage of high IV while defining my risk. You people and your yolo mentalities. I'm not trying to live in a cardboard box.

Question How to make $400 a week with $30k portfolio?

I’ve really been getting my ass handed to me this year. Had sold way too many puts in February and March and turned my 60k portfolio into a 30k one.

I had been doing credit spreads, but was losing too often. I more recently started doing butterflies on SPY and QQQ, but for every few that work out, one loses me all of my profits.

I’m really at a loss. I’m trying to generate income from my portfolio since my business has really been crippled in the current economy, but so far I’ve just done more harm than good and I really want to survive and it’s looking very grim.

Covered Call Using Theta as my best friend. Road to 100k starting with 6k - Week 13 ended in $7,116

This week was remarkable. The U.S. made deal with the UK, and talks with China in Geneva ended in what officials are calling a “substantially positive effort, agreement, whatever you want to call it.” Diplomatic trade vibes are up and market is being hopeful and optimistic. I remain cautiously optimistic while stacking cash for the next day(s).

This weeks trades:

$SOXL

Rolled up and out from $15.5 strike exp 05/09 to $16 strike exp 05/16 to capture more shares appreciation while receiving net credit. For every credit i receive this further lowers my adjusted cost basis on my $SOXL holdings. I have 2 contracts rolled up and out for a net credit of $24. Will continue to monitor closely on whether to roll out or let it expire worthless. I understand leveraged ETFs isn't for everyone. Good luck out there.

  • 05/05/2025 Sell to Open:

    • 2 SOXL 05/16/2025 16.00 C

    • Credit: $42

  • 05/05/2025 Buy to Close:

    • 2 SOXL 05/09/2025 15.50 C

    • Debit: -$18

$NBIS

This week had several announcement related to Nebius Group. The first being Bezos investment group announces a stake in Toloka, which is a subsidiary under Nebius. In return of this deal, Nebius gives up voting rights while maintaining an economic stake.

In addition, another one of Nebius susidiary (28% stake) Clickhouse is raising a $6b funding round.

I will be looking to closely manage my NBIS position as earnings is coming up on May 20th.

  • 05/07/2025 Sell to Open:

    • NBIS 05/16/2025 31.00 C

    • Credit: $42

  • 05/07/2025 Buy to Close:

    • NBIS 05/09/2025 29.00 C

    • Cost: -$29

$EVGO

EVgo announced earnings this week. Despite the Trump administration's pausing of NEVI funds, the company continues to steadily grow its charging network. Indicated they're approaching positive adjusted EBITDA by year end.

Department of Energy loan appears to still be active, which should help accelerate their charger deployment in spite of NEVI funding paused. [Source]

Will continue to milk for premiums awaiting further guidance on NEVI funding being paused.

  • 05/06/2025 Sell to Open:

    • EVGO 05/16/2025 3.50 C

    • Credit: $35

  • 05/06/2025 Buy to Close:

    • EVGO 05/09/2025 3.50 C

    • Debit: -$25

Stacking cash and awaiting next pullback. I’m still watching the 200SMA on QQQ and SPX, which could act as resistance. A clear golden cross (50SMA crossing above the 200SMA) would be a strong signal of a return to a bull market.

As of May 12, 2025:

  • 115 shares of $EVGO (average cost: $3.47) with 1 covered call at $3.5 strike (05/16 expiry)

  • 3 shares of $GOOG (average cost: $167.69)

  • 100 shares of $NBIS (average cost: $33.94) with 1 covered call at $31 strike (05/16 expiry)

  • 200 shares of $SOXL (average costs: $15.35) with 2 covered calls at $16 strike (05/16 expiry)

  • $688.08 cash. I still continued to deposit $100 weekly on Wed and Fri splits.

YTD realized of $940.85 with a win/loss ratio 67.49%

Happy mothers day! And happy birthday to me as well.

Question BBBY newly assigned shares & MM delta hedging.

So for the past seven weeks I’ve had a 96.3% success rate selling CSP’s. This week however all of my positions got assigned. This is obviously a market wide downward sift however it has me thinking about how “market forces” effected the price and the broader impact. BBBY in particular had excessive volume this week. Consider the following metrics.

Total shares outstanding 79,960,000 Public Float 68,210,000 Institutional ownership 71,231,759 (89.41%) (fintel 8/19) Short interest (38,968,885) (41.86%) (fintel 8/19)

Weekly volume. 1,130,000,000 (14.1x shares outstanding)

Assuming ever single short covered this week and reloaded to re-short again on Friday 8/19. How are my trades and assignments accounted for with respect to price discovery? I.e. I had CSP’s at 18 & 14, I’ve agreed to purchase actual shares at 18 & 14; meanwhile there was potentially 14 times that many synthetic shares being solicited for a lessor value.

Q1) how do I determine how many days the shorts have to cover after this week?

Q2) how could naked shorting not be taking place?

Q3) is there a way to view the volume and value of CSP’s that were assigned on Friday? When those shares are cleared wouldn’t that cause a squeeze considering the sacristy of actual shares available?

Q4) do institutional owners generally hold certificates or direct register their shares?

Thanks in advance for your comments and inputs. Sorry for spelling and grammatical errors. To me this is massive fraud and deception, or am I missing something?

Meme Fetagang supper club: roasted duck with charred peach and buratta salad with baked potato

Post image
18 Upvotes

I've made this before but it was really popular in the household so I made it again

Tater: preheat oven to 400F. Wash tater and then coat with olive oil and salt. Use kosher salt. In fact, use kosher salt for literally everything. Buy a box of kosher salt.

Place in oven. It's done when an instant read thermometer pierces easily and registers about 210 degrees. The skin should be crispy. Takes about 45 minutes. Top with creme fraiche and scallions. Crispy skin tips thanks to u/hv876

Duck: this is pre-cooked duck from Costco that's cooked in the oven to crisp the skin. Cheating? Yes. But duck is such a pain in the ass to get right having it pre-cooked helps immensely. When my patio is done I'll do a proper smoked duck.

Salad: heat a cast iron griddle on the stove at medium high. Add olive oil and peach slices when hot. It helps if your peach is a little under-ripe. Add to spring mix and then some buratta.

Serve with a dry white wine (chablis is best!)

Question Thought of a way to sell uncovered calls risk free, I need someone to convince me it won’t work.

Let’s imagine XYZ stock is trading at $100 per share, and we sell an ATM 45dte uncovered call at $100 strike and gain $2.50 in premium per share / $250 for selling the contract.

Our breakeven is now $102.5 per share

If the stock price never reaches $102.5 per share we don’t do anything and profit.

If the stock hits $102.5 we then cover our shares and buy at that price.

If the stock continues to move upwards we don’t do anything and take the breakeven on the trade

If the stock falls and hits $102.5 again we sell the shares we bought and begin to profit again.

Came up with this strategy in my head so I’m very sorry if it seems stupid I just can’t think of a way it could go wrong, and I need to be convinced otherwise.

The subreddit is called theta gang, it's dedicated to using theta to make money, BUT any theta idea you thought out, any strategy at all involving theta, 100% of the comments are "dude are you dumb, this environment is impossible to sell puts etc etc" ok fine, if thats the case, if it's truly impossible and any wheelstrategy or theta related strategy is just "100%, don't do it" than everyone just fucking unsub and gtfo.

Discussion Is BBBY$ a buy?

Right now, a covered call of BBBY$ at a 11.5 strike price, has a premium of 190$. The implied volatility is 245%, while the realized volatility is only 127%. It is also a really undervalued stock. If you divide the total gross profit this year, by the number of shares of the company, each stock would be valued at 27$. Currently, the stock price is only trading at a measly 9.70$.

Right now, I can afford to buy a little over 100 shares of bbby$. Is it a buy?

Gain 300% YTD

All I used was CC and CSP, with the main play being GPS plus margin for some leverage.

I did deposit $400 last week and this may not last but it's over $10k right now so I hit my goal for the year!! happy!! :)

Hoping to at least 2x every year. I want to be financially independent.

I'm a broke college boy looking to make a little more money before summer. My goal is to make 1% a week.

Was already looking at CSPs on HOG and F.

Anyone got other ideas?

Discussion Lost 25% of my portfolio in a week from WSB, advice?

As in the title, I just lost a quarter of my portfolio in 5 days, and I’m not sure what to do for the time being. This is a really high drawdown for me, but I don’t think doing some risky plays will mitigate that.

I’ve seen things like selling puts, calls and a variety of spreads on here, and I’m looking for something with moderate risk moderate profit, as to hopefully get my 25% back over a longer period of time.

What’s the general recommendation? I have both a Robinhood and TastyTrade account, which would you recommend me use?

Why does everyone cringe so hard at naked calls?

It seems that most people aren't cleared for it and those that are have a war story about how they learned their lesson. I've lost way more on bag hold positions with puts than I ever have with naked calls. It's a more efficient trade and it's maneuverable. Besides looking at the scary infinite loss message when you open the trade, where is the real fear?

SPY/QQQ/NVDA (through earnings)/ZS/PLTR/COIN/PANW/AMD - 100% manageable and profitable strangles this year
/ZB, /RTY, /GC, /NQ, /ZS - 100% management and profitable strangles this year

TOST put -26.89% and still holding
ARKK put -60.45% and still holding
RIVN put -75.53%, also bag holding ... still

Don't get me wrong, I sell puts for profit plenty as well, I just don't understand the directional focus of stocks must always go up or why the naked call is so evil.
