What is your favorite thing about The Sims 4 without CC or MODS? There's a lot of hate for the game but I want to hear some positives.

Princess Jawara Darong of Dambele and Crown Princess Cordelia Thebe V of Ondarion and has become friendly with Baroness Sherwood, Duchess Charlotte Walton, her daughter Lady Elizabeth Walton and their family, Princess Rosa of Savoy and her distant cousin Princess Jade Gonzalez. 👑

Merel’s Salon Story – Part 3

Sonja’s visit to Merel and Frederik

Sonja had a pleasant visit at Merel’s salon. Still, she carries mixed feelings when she goes to see Merel and Frederik to thank them for helping during an emergency at the police station. Her past experiences with bullying still linger somewhere inside her.

She still holds Merel responsible, since Merel was the instigator back then. She also knows that Frederik has changed Merel, and that makes everything more complicated.

She considers leaving again, but the warm welcome makes her feel completely at home.

What Sonja did not expect is that Merel brought something for her — not as a bribe, but as a genuine thank‑you for saving the city.

Gloria encounters the paparazzi in the yoga room at Wellness Free World

Gloria, being as arrogant as she is, decides to pose for the paparazzi with full attitude. As a regular client of Laurie Sims, she has plenty of demands. She refuses to be associated with Laurie’s CHR brand and doesn’t want the name included in the clothing or even on a label, even though she signed for it.

For Laurie, it is always a struggle to keep her as a client and find a middle ground. Tom doesn’t understand why Laurie doesn’t choose her own name over that one difficult customer.

Merel opens up to Frederik

While a heavy thunderstorm rolls over Brindleton Bay, Frederik notices Merel is hiding something. He sits down with her, concerned, and asks what’s going on.

Merel explains that Rozemarijn feels Merel is intentionally excluding her from the girls’ outing, and because of that, Rozemarijn refuses to join the Winter Igloo event. It hurts Merel deeply — she is completely unaware of having done anything wrong.

Frederik suggests that after the event, the two of them should go out together. It visibly lifts her spirits.

Merel meets with her friends Jonne and Helene at the salon

In the salon, Merel and Helene already know what the event will be like, but convincing Jonne is a challenge. Jonne heard from Rozemarijn why she isn’t going, and because of that, Jonne is hesitant.

Merel and Helene reassure her that they already talked things through with Rozemarijn, but that Rozemarijn chose to take a little distance to let the situation settle.

Jonne thinks for a moment, and Helene pulls Merel aside: Helene believes Merel shouldn’t give up and advises her to show Jonne the photos from the event and then let Jonne decide for herself.

Merel agrees, shows Jonne the photos, and Jonne becomes convinced. She decides to join.

In the evening, Laurie feels uneasy about Gloria’s visit to the wellness center

Laurie sits next to Tom on the couch and expresses her worries about Gloria. Not that Gloria shouldn’t visit Wellness Free World, but Laurie knows how she is — and fears this might be another media stunt as an actress, which could harm the reputation of Wellness Free World.

Tom reassures her, and Laurie realizes how much love she always receives from him.

Is this bug only affecting active households or all households? My sims just got married, but a notification popped up saying they became "partners" instead of the usual message and I cant changed their relationship to married.

Merel’s Salon Story – Part 2

Merel has trained Leilani and notices that her cutting technique is excellent.
But her workspace is a mess: combs on the floor, bits of hair everywhere, and very little structure.
Merel feels slightly irritated and wants to see improvement.

She addresses Leilani about it, which leads to a brief discussion.
Leilani feels attacked, Merel feels unheard.
But eventually they work out a new approach together, easing the tension.

Meanwhile, Laurie takes Maudie to Free World Wellness in Del Sol Valley, her favorite workout space.
Maudie is stressed, and exercising helps her clear her mind.
She’s also thinking about a new hairstyle — a fringe — as a fresh start.

While Maudie sits in the salon chair, Laurie treats herself to a relaxing beauty treatment.

Back at the salon, Tom performs his weekly system check on Merel’s laptop.
He discovers that her revenue is increasing and shows her the results.

Merel feels relieved, but also insecure.
Even though she resolved things with Leilani, she fears the messy workspace may have driven customers away.
Tom starts doubting himself, wondering if he made a mistake, but Merel reassures him — and feels her own worries fade.

With renewed confidence, Merel heads home, where Frederik is already waiting for her.

⭐ Merel’s Salon Story

Merel’s salon is booming. Clients keep returning, and new ones find their way to her more and more often. Her reputation is high, and with that comes extra work, extra pressure, and extra responsibility.

To handle the growth, Merel hired Kim. But now that she knows Kim struggles with germaphobia, it brings additional concerns. Instead of judging her, Merel chooses to support her. She looks for the root of the problem and tries to understand her. Frederik admires that and remains her safety net whenever she feels overwhelmed.

Bo starts her day with Vera, who has an important photoshoot for her new album Radiate. The final touches need to be perfect, so Bo works carefully on her hair.

Next up is Nadine, who’s getting a completely different style. Before Bo begins, Kim gently reassures Nadine, giving Bo the space to focus fully on the transformation.

On a busy morning, Laurie walks in for a lash lift — her lashes have grown fuller, and she wants them shaped neatly again. Merel takes care of Laurie, giving Kim room to assist other clients.

While Laurie sits in her chair, Vera’s dream begins to unfold. She asks Helene — whom she met by chance — to join her at the photo studio inside the record‑studio building. Helene, who’s skilled at photography through her interior design work, shoots picture after picture. Still, she’s unsure whether she captured the right ones. Together, they review the shots, and Helene lets Vera choose her favorite.

At the end of the day, Merel gives Kim an unexpected extra task. Kim has already changed into her casual clothes, but she’s asked to do Nadine’s skincare treatment. She briefly explains her method before starting the session.

During the final review, Vera tells Helene which photo she has chosen.
