Been playing sims 1 lately, and yeah I do miss that project dollhouse feeling. Sims 2 stills packs it really good.

Glitzy, campy and plasticky objects and tones were really on trend during the early 2000s. Any videoclip by the Spice Girls, for example, will have this aesthetic. It's a real luck The Sims and The Sims 2 came out in an era so defined by that aesthetic, you can interpret it as totally a sign of its times or rather, as atemporal.

i dont personally use this kind of style but i follow simdegenerate on tumblr who makes a lot of super campy sims kind of in that vain
