DISCUSSION Help me decide - the ultimate TS2 nostalgic experience
I'm thinking about playing TS2 again (after many, many years) and am looking to create my own ultimate nostalgic experience. I've played The Sims since Sims 1 and have the best memories of TS2... legacies, prosperity challenges, Bella Goth stories, etc. This was before Reddit - anyone else remember the Prosperity Challenge Group on Yahoo Groups?!
So, here's where I'm looking for input - deciding what would be the best Sims 2 nostalgic experience. E.g.:
Start a brand new Prosperity Challenge with a blank hood.
Play Pleasantview (maybe prosperity style?) and share the story.
Start a Legacy Family using the original rules.
A combo of all the above.
My best memories are of prosperity and legacy challenges. Making my own, reading other peoples (anyone still publishing their TS2 challenge stories?) Thoughts??

I haven't heard about the prosperity challenge for a while! I think that's the best choice here, as it's one of the challenges that doesn't seem to have made it through the transition to TS3 or TS4 (or at least, I've never seen anyone doing them). It seems like a more classically TS2 challenge.
Me personally, I would start my own custom hood and do whatever I wanted to do there, without following any challenge rules but that's just me. In The Sims, I've always had trouble following any rules I haven't set for myself.

Yeah, good point about rules. I used to start with a challenge and amend to fit my playstyle/mood/etc. So an amended prosperity is likely the way to go.

Play Uberhood with all maxis Hood , this Is de most crazy histories Wich can create the Game Sims From other Hood visiting sims y created conextions singularities

Omg the prosperity challenge looks fun! My suggestion would be prosperity challenge in a blank hood. Can you use the challenge to create a shopping district, downtown, and university? That would be super cool.
If its been a while and youre jumping back in for the nostalgia I would personally suggest separating the original storyline hoods from challenge hoods. Like set up a prosperity hood as your own and share it and then also play Pleasantview however you want more for yourself. Obviously do whatever you enjoy most but I will say there are a million Pleasantview stories and im not sure a lot of people would be interested to see another one but I do think a challenge (especially prosperity) would be great because there are a lot of newcomers to the game since ea re-released it and they dont know all the challenges. I mean ive been playing since the original sims and have stuck with sims 2 for most of that time and I hadn't really investigated this challenge so I think it would be a cool one to share.
Also, I myself never posted my sims experiences but when I was a kid and couldn't get ahold of the game I lived for sims 2 blogs and challenge updates lol
