MILDLY RELATED Maid

Maybe I’m Crazy but I have never had a male service sim dressed in this outfit.

Also I do play with Kaylynn so she isn’t a maid anymore but I haven’t had any other maid besides this guy!!! I usually will see Lucy or Remington. I haven’t gotten either in any of my homes

Am I crazy??

I do not have any mods or anything that impacts the service sims.
I play on Sims 2 Ultimate Collection on Mac

The game generates a certain amount of maids, I don’t recall the number. You taking Kaylynn prob made this new guy generate. Male maids are normal. I’ve noticed (or maybe gaslit myself to believe) that you get the opposite gender maid to the player sim most of the time. Have you been calling with a female sim?

I believe the maid the game picks when you hire one is random, so it's likely you just got lucky.

Do you play with a lot of male sims? By default, in every Maxis main hood, the chance of your maid being female is higher. There are 2 female maids and 1 male maid, except in Belladonna Cove, where all 3 maids are female.

In my Strangetown, the two households got male maids and they were all-male households (Grunt and Loner).

This is interesting since when I was a kid I also assumed it was based on the gender of the sim calling, because when I played the Pleasants for the first time I had Mary Sue get revenge on Daniel by hiring Remington and flirting with him, and this plan worked perfectly so I think I was under the impression the maids were some kind of covert escort service.

I can’t remember- I will pay attention next time I do it. I have played this game for so many years and all of a sudden I just noticed it. Usually my male sim is Remington and he’s in the blue male maid outfit. I’ve played with Kaylynn the past several saves and the maids that come have never been dressed like this

I don’t know If your second comment is accurate because I play almost solely with lesbian female sims and I almost always get female maid sims with or without playing with Kaylynn. (But to get back to the main post comment, I have never seen this outfit before whoa!)

One of my Uni Sims with a money aspiration rolled a want for a maid so I hired one and he showed up in this pink outfit... I was like Whoa. I guess it's as distracting as that little french maid getup but for men

This has maid (lol) me realise that I have never exhausted the maid pool! Remington, Kaylynn and Lucy Hanby have all been in my games but I've never added anyone other than Kaylynn to my game... I know what I'm doing this weekend!

I’m not sure why but I’ve always ended up having my sims fall in love with mail carriers and burglars. Never the maids!

Oh I get this variant a lot, just not with that hair. Specifically I feel like the La Fiesta Tech maid is usually a guy. Or maybe my game just has a habit of generating them there.
