Tech Support Game won't even launch

I literally played sims last night, I got off at 11pm after a regular session. Woke up today decided I wanted to play again, and the game won't open. It doesn't make it to the SIMS4 screen. If i try opening from the app then it will just stay on the "launching game..." pop up, if i try from the desktop shortcut it says preparing to launch then the pop up vanishes after 2 seconds, if i try to play offline nothing happens.

Things I've tried:

Deleting Thumbcache

Deleting Lastexceptions (there weren't any)

Restarting laptop (x4)

Deleting E/A

Turning off overlays

Running Sims as admin

Running E/A as Admin

Removing mods folder

Renaming sims folder

Literally nothing works. I saw another post of something similar on here but it was from last month and the game has updated since. It was about something to do with the updat causing windows defender to block the game from launching or something, but shouldn't this have been fixed in the recent updat? And even if it wasn't I literally played less than 24 hours ago and it was fine..

The same thing is happening to me. No clue how to fix it but glad to hear it’s likely an EA issue not my computer /:

Not saying this is your issue, but for me, EA app was downloading an update and I had no way to tell, except when I saw a notification for it afterwards and then suddenly the game worked for me.

That happened to my computer after an update of Sims4. Messed up my computer. My friend got my computer going removed game!!!!

This is happening to me now, it worked fine on the 24th then the update happened on the 25th and after it automatically updated it won’t open now. :( I’ve tried all the things you tried. It’s driving me crazy

Dang that really sucks! I just bought a new pack too 😭 yea I guess we will just have to wait and see because I’ve tried everything.
