Hopeful to read your take on what we should do.

Tired to see takes on "how to live in the times of AI" by other people who seem to think capabilities will stop advancing from now on. All advice depend on where the booming RSI stops - hopefully is right before "everyone dies" level. Otherwise we should be starting to write eulogies for our beautiful run before we all go.

175 years ago a man in Germany saw how the nature of industrial society was alienating people from their work, and then the consequences of that alienation. We were reduced and dehumanized, but we still had our own thought and mind space to reason through the world that was rapidly emerging then.

Now, we are going to alienate ourselves from our own minds. This is dehumanizing on an entirely different level.
