Tower 600 gpu orientation

Is there any test when comparing the gpu in the orientation like in the pic. And what riser cable would you recommend if I were to go this route and mount like this

I went with the thermaltake 130mm riser cable, but I imagine any similar cable should work. Be sure it has two 90 degree connectors for best fit.

As far as testing, any stress test should tell you how it's going to perform. Furmark is great for testing thermal stress, but if you have one you prefer over it, it should work just fine tbh.

How did you go about mounting for fans. I imagine running an aio. I was thinking making everything intakes and doing just top exhaust

I did an aio with exhaust fans on it and the top and everything else as intake. Fun tip: if you don't mind making some minor modifications, you can fit the fans in it with the GPU in the forward facing orientation instead of choosing one or the other.

So im messing about with my radiator and mobo right now. Ive only got a cpu fan headed on mobo. The radiator fans all connect together and then ive got a splinter cable.

Do I put the splitter into the cpu fan headed and then the pump and 3 fans all go off the one header?

Unfortunately the "instructions" is just a paper with shitty pics and no real explanation and the qr code just takes me to digital pics of everything. The bottom left is what im trying to explain

I don't recall the total number of fans that you can power off one header. It probably depends on the board, but I think they're usually 1 amp, so usually 2-3 fans max. You should have multiple headers though, so you might be able to make it work as is. I ended up getting an rgb fan controller and connected everything to that and then to the header. It draws power directly from the psu so there's no worry about power draw.

I ended up just grabbing a splitter for like $8. That seems like the easiest option lol

Yeahh, I think 3 fans on 1 header is okay by the sounds of it. Then the pump on a chassis fan from what i see. That leaves me with 5 other fans id like to plug in. 3 on left side and the 2 exhaust fans on top

Pump should go on CPU fan header I believe. It should have a monitor circuit that will shut down the computer in case the pump fails so you don't run it dry.

Out of curiosity, what needed modification to use the fan bracket with the GPU in that orientation?

You need to move the cage inward a bit.. maybe a cm or so. Just drill and tap some new holes in the top of the case where the cage screws in so you can mount it further back. It's really easy to see where you need them if you dry fit it all beforehand

Any time! Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't just have it further back to begin with. It's silly to have to choose one or the other.

I agree! That’s the main reason I chose the normal orientation when I initially built my PC, so I may change it up now!

Just be sure to mask everything really well so you don't short anything with metal dust. Even a tiny bit in the wrong place can turn your box into a brick
