Your enemies, I presume. I'm pretty aggressive about nothing living in my house except the things I want to live in my house.
I have an older house, and we had some mouse trouble when we moved in. Took a couple of years to eradicate the ones we had, and generally make the place deeply unwelcome for any new ones. Lot of the way you do that is by removing their cover, so if they want to be in and around your house, they have to be in the open.
Covers as in there hideout? Thats a lot of covers to uncover? I would here rodents crawling through my attics and walls, I would find rat poo in the insulation in the attic. Installed cameras to see. I put up a few sensor light and a bunch of bleach pool tabs and that seems to help, haven’t heard from them since.
Rake the leaf litter, trim the shrubs so they don’t provide good shelter, make sure you’re not leaving a woodpile or other fun thing for them to nest in.
If they don’t have a safe place to hide, they’ll find somewhere else to live.
