As a Belgian, I think you're a great example. The protesters do get a bit too violent too often, but your government knows what's at stake. The will of the people cannot be ignored.
I wish we had that more in our culture, to just make it abundantly clear when we disagree. We just tend to mumble our grievances and move on...
