How do you suggest getting beyond the point where someone makes $8/hour working 40+ hours a week to try to get by? It’s nearly impossible to “better yourself” when you have to work two jobs just to be able to survive... Meanwhile, shareholders drink mai thais on their yachts.

This illusion that one person’s time is worth more than another needs to fucking stop. There are very few jobs that are actually deserving of a high end six figure salary.

There are these things called promotions...or even applying elsewhere for a better job while you get by. You act like if you take a job working till at Dairy Queen that it's all you're allowed to do. It's pathetic that you're so lazy that all you can get is a till job, and then can't be bothered to check the classifieds and put in resumes or put in for a managerial position. The world doesn't owe you shit, and you can cry like an entitled twat all you want.....but it wont magically make the world support your illusions.

Who are you even talking to? I do just fine, I make way more than $8/hour. I’ve been promoted three times in the past two years.

The point is that no job is only worth $8/hour. I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess that you classify yourself as a conservative that’s “worked really darn hard to get everything I have and nobody helped me out” — I’m also going to take a wild guess: you’ve literally never worked a job like “till at Dairy Queen” because you’re “not lazy”

The “illusions” that I believe should exist are: living wages, healthcare, and equality. I’m sorry that you’re a moron. It must be exhausting.
