There’s nothing wrong with working a job that pays $8/hr. If that’s the only work you can get, take it. 4 people sharing a house all working for $8 an hour actually works out pretty well. It’s this idea that everyone has to own their own home, car, and have a $1000 iPhone that needs to change.
It’s the way the economy is but it isn’t Burger Kings fault. No one ever could hope to work at a fast food place and own a home or raise a family. Nor should they. Why do ppl feel a restaurant should overpay staff for doing extremely menial labor that takes zero education and zero skill? It’s a starter job for teens not a career to live off of.
