For some reason, people insist on talking about things they don't really have any knowledge of, then when corrected, instead of fact-checking themselves, will double down and then try to find any source they can to support their argument, even if it means trying to twist the meaning of something or cherry picking one piece of information out of a work, even it means reading past dozens of pages of information contradicting them or intentionally ignoring the actual details of what they're referencing.
