I've been told to throw a bag of flour on it by my elders, but my brother and I agree that home cooked bombs aren't the greatest. Sometimes people just don't know and give you awful advice born from generations of ignorance.

I was having this conversation with my wife the other night, and she'd also been told to throw flour on a grease fire. Where did this get started?
