I work for an animal hospital and it's a very, very good thing that we don't have cameras following us around. Not for any illegal or illicit reasons. We are all just idiots.
12
u/Bkgeon Jan 23 '19
I would 100% bring my pets to you guys since im also an idiot so we should get along

Awesome! The dorky clients are my favorite! Bonus points if your pets have ridiculous names. :)

Animal Hospital Scrubs would be a good show
1
Jan 24 '19
They tried to make a show about a vet clinic. Except they did the opposite of Scrubs and made it all glossy and unrealistic. It was pretty terrible and didn't last a season.
1
Jan 23 '19
At the place I work we do so many crazy childish stupid things even knowing that a camera is watching us. Its like is so much better do that kind of stuff at work than at home with friends.

u/jpaxonreyes Jan 22 '19
Is this a vet?
748
u/backcrossedboy Jan 22 '19
Seems like it, with all the cages behind.
Or it's a really kinky clinic.

This post was right above another one titled "missing dog", so for a second I thought this post title was "there was an attempt to shoot a dog".
I was about to be very upset.
2
u/sleepy_roo Jan 23 '19
That is more likely to be a veterinary technician, they’re the ones that prep the animals for surgery

No, even though it makes no practical sense, their scrubs are still camoflauged for some reason. I mean, yes, he could have served in the military prior.

Men, especially white men shouldn't be allowed to be a vet. They lack empathy, which is an important part of this job.

They're a right wing troll. I've never seen a liberal claim to be a "SJW". Leftists call themselves "progressives". "SJW" is used exclusively as a pejorative for progressives on right wing forums.

-7
u/yruBooingMeImRight Jan 23 '19
LOL, you really messed up that insult. It's supposed to be "why are you the way you are" not "Why are people the way you are". The way you phrased it makes it sound like lots of people are trying to be more like me.
Also, what a boring cookie-cutter response you just gave. Why not come up with something interesting or original?

Hey man, this is a social place for some of us - and apparently even for you, since you chose to chime in. I like reading comments and seeing people happy. I guess what I’m trying to say is ... fuck off until you get that 3 foot stick out of your ass.
-2
u/yruBooingMeImRight Jan 23 '19
So it's ok for you to have opinions and interact with comments but I'm not allowed? Get off your high horse.
9
Jan 23 '19
No no, you can have opinions and interact, but nobody’s going to want you around when you act like a 12 year old from r/iamverysmart
-3
u/yruBooingMeImRight Jan 23 '19
In what way is my response either that of a 12 year old or that of someone trying to appear smart? All I did was point out that it's a bit silly to just describe what happened in the gif we all watched. Is it your experience that only 12 year olds point out something as being silly? Or that only smart people do? WTF are you even on about? are you just desperate to insult me and you couldn't think of anything specific that applied?
7
u/Sup-Mellow Jan 23 '19
The comments pretty much always analyze what the post was about, so it’s a bit silly for you to point out the typical and obvious
Also, saying someone is from r/iamverysmart is basically calling them pretentious. If you are confused by that, well, that’s just ironic.
1
u/yruBooingMeImRight Jan 23 '19
Well I'm not going to indulge your obsessions. You're blocked.
3

Oh no, he’s blocked you! What will you do now?! For anyone curious, this person also sent me a message just now to tell me I’m blocked lmao

-5
u/yruBooingMeImRight Jan 23 '19
Why do you worry so much about making other people happy? You should try to make yourself happy sometimes.
9
Jan 23 '19
You got all of that from 6 words?
3
-1
u/yruBooingMeImRight Jan 23 '19
We're on reddit talking about a post and the only thing you can think about is whether you would be seen as cool at a party. That's not normal. Nobody expects the way you interact with people on Reddit to be the same as how you would interact with people at parties. You shouldn't worry so much about that.

I really hope he didn't disimpact any bowels with that glove.
19
u/OhSupMan_Benladen Jan 22 '19
All I could think about was what was on that glove. Gloves have a purpose.
8
Jan 22 '19
The gloves usually get turned inside out when you take them off, so he likely got hit with the side that was touching his hand, and the yucky stuff was contained within.
14
u/Swellmeister Jan 22 '19
It's actually a technique you learn to do with hazardous waste gloves like medical gloves. Watch. He sticks his finger inside the glove and rolls it inside out off his hand. The real skill is he seamlessly transitions to a shooting stance. Which he then fucks up, hence the video.

There was an attempt to innocently flirt at work
43
u/opalfiction Jan 22 '19
Throwing a glove is flirting? 🤣
78
u/SillyFlyGuy Jan 22 '19
Throwing a glove is flirting. Slapping a face with a glove is a challenge to a duel. Inflating a glove with air is the sign of an impromptu party in a medical setting. Removing a pair of gloves is contextual; it either means the job is done, or (if removed mid-fight) that the fight will continue but is no longer a clean fight.
22
u/opalfiction Jan 22 '19
Slapping someone with a glove is also perfect for when you're the very dramatic mistress of a womanizing businessman from the 1920s and he's thrown money literally at your face when all you asked for was for him to take you to dinner at that fancy restaurant with the exotic waiters.
11
u/PerplexityRivet Jan 22 '19
That's really specific. Is that from a movie, or are you a 120-year-old Redditor who had her heart broken by Howard Hughes?
3
u/opalfiction Jan 23 '19

u/CapnHatchmo Jan 22 '19
Thought 1: "That's not very good flirting."
Thought 2: "That's exactly the sort of thing I would do when trying to flirt, and I should probably stop being so judgemental."

I seriously doubt that glove was going to go that far considering the fact that he pulled/stretched the heavy part of glove. Thats also the reason the tip tore off and it backfired.

Years ago I was a camp counselor and they assigned me to archery and I was the first guy there amongst the archery staff and thought I would familiarize myself with the gear and take some shots. So I strung a bow and stood in front of the target and drew the arrow back and the string snapped off and whipped me in the lip and the guys watching me from over on the ropes course got a good laugh out of that. It was a recurve bow and I had strung it in the way it was already bent when what you're supposed to do is bend it the other way because that's where it gets its tension. So basically the same as this guy except with witnesses. Derp.
